Welcome to our course on Ethical Approaches to working with Complex Trauma in Adults. This course is designed for therapists who want to deepen their understanding of ethical considerations when working with clients who have experienced complex trauma. Throughout the course, participants will learn about the ACA Code of Ethics and how it applies to working with complex trauma.
Participants will also gain an understanding of how complex PTSD differs from PTSD, and how shock and trauma can affect the body and shape the brain. The course will explore dissociation in complex PTSD, as well as emotional wounds that can result from trauma.
One of the primary learning objectives of this course is to explore ethical approaches to treating complex PTSD. Participants will learn about the importance of building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients, and how to effectively address the unique challenges that arise when working with clients who have experienced complex trauma.
By the end of this course, participants will have enhanced their knowledge of ethical considerations when working with complex trauma, and will be better equipped to provide effective and compassionate care to their clients.
